High Productivity - With the large 8.1 inch LCD touch-screen, you can quickly maneuver through the menu and quickly print the required documents. The standard 1,100 sheet capacity can be increased to 2,100 and print 25 ppm with a 100 sheet reversing automatic document feeder capability. To increase production, employ software so that you can minimize costs and increase production with the USB 2.0 and IEEE 1284 b-directional parallel interfaces.
Quality - This is a must in how the MFP performs and what the final product looks like. For a polished look and out of the box, the 1200 x 600 enhanced dpi resolution makes your work look even better. With Sharp's JBIG compression feature, job file sizes are reduced to increase the machine's speed. To assist you further, auto-duplexing, fit-to-page, N-up printing and sorting options can be used.
Network Options- Maximizing Sharp's PCL6 Network printing options on the Sharp AR-M257, you can increase production and quality even further. With standard imbedded networking, cover pages, form/front downloads and proof printing can further expedite your tasks. Cost accounting features help to reduce costs with any and all printing jobs.
The integrated network scanning features include scan to desktop, scan to e-mail, scan to FTP and/or scan to URL. Once a document has been scanned on the Sharp AR-M257, it can be saved to PDF and/or TIFF. An on-board touch screen uses a QWERTY keyboard with a memory for 200 one-touch button destinations. To help with finding e-mail destinations, Sharp's built-in LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) can quickly find the e-mail you are looking for.
Fax Capabilities - Perfect for workgroups and will work with ledger-sized reception to handle almost any fax need. Up to 500 numbers can be stored and a fax can be sent up to 200 destinations at one time. The LAN function allows faxes to be sent directly from the user's desktop.
Security Features - Depending upon your needs, multiple security levels can be established and PIN codes can be established to allow only certain individuals to use the equipment. IP/MAC address filtering also restricts who has access to the machine. There are also data security kits available which can encrypt data and erase memory by overwriting the encrypted data.
